So it is that time of year again (how fast does time go?).

It was Met Monday this Bank Holiday Monday (do Americans have bank holiday as well btw?)

The theme was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, to honour the late designer and his influence on the fashion industry. It’s a broad theme so it should have been easy to follow but some people still struggled to stay on theme (SIDE EYE).

Today we will be rating some Met Gala looks.

Dua Lipa

Perfectly on theme. Different to her usual style. She ate and left no crumbs.

Rihanna (& ASAP Rocky)

The Queen of Met Gala didn’t disappoint. She stayed on trend whilst standing out and that trail??? We loved ASAP’s fit too especially the iconic red plaid. The only thing is that they didn’t coordinate. Everyone knows couples are supposed to match at the Met Gala but it’s no biggie.

Doja Cat

100/10

She won the whole red carpet, everyone else should have gone home. I mean Doja CAT dressing up as Sir Karl’s iconic cat Choupette?? She saw the opportunity and took it. My fave thing was how she meowed in every interview. Truly CATTASTIC.

The Kar-Jenners

Sorry, we were expecting more from them. Kim always eats up her Met looks, and this year was no different. It’s a shame that her sisters didn’t keep the same energy. Kylie is very hit and miss with her Met looks and this year was definitely a miss like I’ve seen girls more dressed up in town on a Saturday. Kendal, hun, what was going on?

Gigi Hadid

Gigi looked sooo cute and she was perfectly on theme. She never misses. Definitely my fave look of the night.

Jared Leto

The only other person that was more iconic than Doja Cat. He’s getting a low rating though because it looked a little creepy? Like imagine you’re on the red carpet, standing around, look cute and then a giant cat comes towards you. He’s still the King of the Met though (loved that headless look he did a few years ago).

Margot Robbie

Miss Margot, this was supposed to be your year! You’ve got the new Barbie film coming out, how could you let this happen? Don’t get me wrong, she looked good, and the dress was nice but the whole look was a little underwhelming? Maybe if she did more with her hair? She should have gotten the full 90s hair to match the Cindy Crawford look she recreated.
